Earlier, the ministry of home had asked people not to celebrate the festival after 7 p.m.
This is the first time in history that the government fixed the time for Deusi-bhailo, citing fragile security situation of the country.
People from all sections of society had opposed the government move to restrict the celebration of the Hindu festival. As per the traditional practices, such cultural programs are mainly held at night.
